trying to multiplex with mencoder

Hello,
i'm unsuccsessfully trying to mux multiple audio streams into an avi container. Mencoder always only muxes one audio file into the avi and drops the other, although both audio files i want to mux together with the video have the same bitrate and were both encoded with lame (I read, that in this case mencoder could mux multiple audio streams consecutivly).

The command i use to mux an audio mp3-file with my video  is:

mencoder -oac copy -ovc copy  -o input.avi -audiofile audio.mp3 output.avi

Do you know what went wrong?
