My computer is msi wind u90, [testing] repo is enabled, and it runs with latest kde, qt, xf86-video-intel and xorg-server packages. xorg.conf is empty. The problem is that scrolling of web pages in qonkueror or arora is very slow but in firefox that pages just fly. Any suggestions?

Wait for kernel 2.6.29, the new intel drivers, Xorg 1.6, and Qt 4.5, then ask again
Seriously though, it's just that everything's real hectic right now, with both graphics and Qt/WebKit.

Arora is turtle slow on my box as well. My lightly stripped Firefox 3.1b2 PGO build blows it out of the water, as in Openbox vs. GNOME out of the water.
Arch Linux + sway
Debian Testing + GNOME/sway
NetBSD 64-bit + Xfce

Read my post carefully, testing repo is enabled. So I already have last qt, xorg-server and intel drivers.

If I had to guess it might be the intel drivers. I'm using Konqueror here, and it is fine and snappy....of course....I have a 3.2gHz AMD6400X2 paired with an Nvidia GTX260. FWIW-normal scrolling can use up to 2/3 of one core on my box-all that being used by Xorg.

Thanks, I'll try to post bug on bugs.freedesktop.org.

I've noticed this same behavior recently in Arora and a Qscintilla-based text editor. A couple weeks ago, the scrolling was fine - now it's laggy. I'm using Qt 4.5,0-4, xf86-video-intel 2.6.3-3, and xorg-server 1.6.0-3

Now it looks better with mesa 7.5. But not perfect.
