Hallo ArchCommunity,
does anybody know an option to move a window form one tag to another tag. I mine, when I grep/focus a window with (Mod4+left mouse button) I can move it in the same tag but I will move it to the next tag.
I hope anybody understand me
regards
zyon

if you read the awesome man page you will get a list of all of the default keybindings
mod-ctrl-shift-tagnumber will move the window onto another tag
mod-shift-tagnumber will duplicate the window onto another tag
or maybe its the other way around?
im not sure because im not at home now to test it

Hmm, I believe I can help, it's the other way around.
mod-ctrl-shift-tagnumber will duplicate the window onto another tag
mod-shift-tagnumber will move the window onto another tag
I am at home
edit> Btw. Since it's on this topic I feel it's ok. How can we, after duplicating a window onto another tag, just close one of them? say, i have a terminal client on tag 1, then duplicate it to tag 2, and then i want to close client on tag 2, not client 1.

AFAIK this is not possible at the moment.

yea it is
just press the same buttons that you used to duplicate to remove it again
