iwl3945 wireless problems

Hello.

My wireless worked well until recently when the system blocks and the intel iwl3945 wireless module begins to take about 50% of my CPU. I guess there's a bug in the module that causes some inner loop. Sometimes I get wireless to work but that's for a short while and suddenly wireless turns off and again the iwl3945 mudule gets 50% of CPU. After the loop begins, the system is still responsible but I can't run any new processes.

My kernel is:
uname -sr
Linux 2.6.29-ARCH

Any ideas why this started happening?

Greets.

Re: iwl3945 wireless problems

For me it started with 2.6.29 update, rolling back to 2.6.28 wifi works again: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=69598

Re: iwl3945 wireless problems

My iwl3945 still works perfectly after the new kernel, using wpa and wep on multiple routers. RC.conf:

MODULES=(!snd-pcsp tg3 !ipw3945 iwl3945 acpi-cpufreq fuse vboxdrv)
DAEMONS=(syslog-ng hal !network netfs crond @alsa @wicd @mpd @openntpd @sensors @laptop-mode)

The only thing that I have done regarding the wireless is wicd and blacklisting the ipw3945 module. Hope this helps!

Jack.
