By crashing do you mean that it seems to "freeze up" for a moment until it actually begins to register that a key is being held down?
If so, I have the same problem. Tested using xev, and it seems that X registers the first keypress, then takes about 3/4 of a second before it actually starts to register the key as being held down. It seems that this might be more down to something related to preferences or something than an actual bug, as there doesn't seem to be any unusual increased CPU activity when a key is held or anything like that, and X can still register fast consecutive keypresses fine.
Any help as to how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like I have a different issue then, as xorg hasn't crashed on me, it just delays registering held keys.

My problem is that my X dissapears if i hold about any key board button. Even when i'm typing this post i have to be carefull not to hold the backspace to delete some text.
also i'm running a dual monitor screen setup and when i move my mouse from one screen to the other it passes on to the other screen but it also stays on the first screen.
and i'm not able to see my virtual consoles anymore, it does switch to them but i don't see anything. when my X crashes it's the same, i should be able to see my console but nothing. it does respond however, when i press the up key and then press enter it starts x again because my last command was startx.
i'm running a very minimalistic Openbox with tilda on an updated arch directly updated from the official repo with the nvidia driver.
this is all very anoying

I've just updated my nvidia driver to nvidia-beta and my virtual console problems have dissapeard alswell as the keyboard stroke problem.
The only thing i'm still having is the double mouse.
EDIT: Hold it! i just holded my left arrow button in tilda and X crashed again, and again it did not show me my console. damn...

someone on this forum suggested that one of (many) reasons is enabled xinerama.
See if problem persists with xinerama disabled.
maybe this will help

I disabled xinerama and the problem for me has gone.

For now i've also disabled xinerama.
But this is driving me crazy, i've got two beautiful 24" full hd iiyama monitors and i can only use one!
is there anyway of using them together without xinerama?
