java no longer works

i am using "stable" archlinux (not using testing) and in past few days there has been a lot of upgrades in core, extra, community (xorg server, intel drivers, hal etc....) but today i've realized i can't run any java application anymore sad ...i am using jdk and jre 6u12-1.

echo $JAVA_HOME prints:

/opt/java

java -version prints:

java version "1.6.0_12"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_12-b04)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 11.2-b01, mixed mode, sharing)

But when i try to run some java application i get this error:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /opt/java/jre/lib/i386/xawt/libmawt.so: libXtst.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Re: java no longer works

Java is looking for libXtst.so.6 which is owned by libxtst 1.0.3. Try to (re)install that.
