Xdefaults not being loaded at startup [SOLVED]

Hi guys.

I have edited some xterm settings through the .Xdefaults file, and it loads when I do "xrdb .Xdefaults", but it doesnt load automatically at every reboot/login.

I use the gdm inittab method.

I also read something about Xdefaults not being used anymore, but Xresources instead?

Thanks.

EDIT: Solved, I guess. Just made a shell script that loads "xrdb -load .Xdefaults" and added it to the gnome startup apps.

.Xdefaults is still in use on my system. Are the permissions correct on that file?

Re: Xdefaults not being loaded at startup [SOLVED]

can I add "xrdb -load .Xdefaults" to my .xinitrc file perhaps? Is .xinitrc loaded with gdm?

I symlinked .Xdefaults to .Xresources so older applications can read the settings they want to see.
