Virtualbox 2.2.0 - bridged connection broken

I cannot get Bridged connection working in Virtualbox_bin 2.2.0 after upgrading from 2.1.4.

Server (Host) archlinux 32bit with:
  eth0: talks to ISP
  eth1: gateway from LAN to eth0
           has dhcp for LAN

guest archlinux 32bit
  eth0: bridged connection to host:eth1
           virtualbox way - vboxnetflt module

I run virtualbox in the same machine. I have virtual archlinux running there with bridged connection (virtualbox way). I did rebuild the modules and even rebooted after that.

Problem is that dhcp gets a request and sends IP and stuff back to guest, but guest does not get it. It just times out.

I heard others have same problems. Any other ideas than downgrading?

It works for me Change type of ethernet card to PCnet-FAST III.

i have the same problem. bridged connection not working after upgrade to 2.2.0

I have to say that I use Virtualbox under Windows XP at work and I couldn't get any networking to work at all! I ended up downgrading to get it to work again.

i had this too and got it working again by disabling the network adapter in the client (win2003) and re-enabling it again..

I found differences between old and new VirtualBox.xml file and when I removed entries in <NetServiceRegistry>  bridged connection works again for me
