Looking for ideas for an audio player to use for E17. Don't want to use anything that requires to load up GNOME or KDE libs/services (which cancels out Amarok, which is a shame). But I'd really like something that can obvously play mp3/4 files and pref podcasts as well.
Already got XMMS running, which is OK,but a little old hat. Would really like something along the lines of Amarok type interface.
Any ideas would be greatly apprieciated.
thanks,

If you just want to play some random files and podcasts mplayer plays it all.
MPD + a client you like (ncmpc, gmpc etc) is the best you can get in terms of playback, features and managing huge audio libraries with ease.
All the other jukebox types are well... poor to say the least and will all bring in alot of deps.

dumb question, but how do you change the default colour scheme for ario, have light colour issues

It's a GTK app, so you'd change it by changing your GTK theme.

You could also use Emphasis, it uses EFL(Enlightenment Foundation Library), and it's also a MPD client. There's a PKGBUILD in aur.
