Usage of Compiz - no Window Decorator

Hello guys,

I'd like to use compiz so I installed the whole compiz-fusion packages and started the fusion-icon. Now I selected Compiz as my Window Manager and GTK Window Decorator as my Window Decorator because I still want to use Metacity.

The problem is that now Metacity will be not displayed until I select Metacity instead of Compiz as my Window Manager.

What could I do to use them both?

Thanks smile

So, you wish to run two window managers at the same time? In the very same X session? I don't think that's possible, to be honest...

When you use compiz you don't need metacity, and you can not run the both at the same time, and even if you could, it wouldn't make any sense to do so.

What is it the real problem here? No window decorations?

Do you have the window decoration plugin enabled?

like @josemebody said you have to enable some plugins. i saw that all are disabled by default

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.
