I don't know what is it with ATi and WINE. I'm using ATi Radeon 9700 with open-source drivers (xf86-video-ati + ati-dri), and after I've recently upgraded Mesa to 7.4 and Xorg to 1.6, I'm experiencing weird mesh-like screen artifacts in WINE.
Here are some screenshots:

If I roll back to Mesa, libgl and ati-dri 7.2, the artifacts are gone.
Can anyone give me any ideas or leads? Thanks in advance!

try rebuilding wine and your ati drivers with ABS and installing them.

I have successfully rebuilt and installed libgl, mesa, ati-dri, xf86-video-ati and finally wine from ABS. However, this didn't bring up anything new; the grid is still here.
Interesting thing is tho, if I force the rollback of the ati-dri package to 7.2 rather than 7.4, while leaving mesa and libgl at 7.4 and xf86-video-ati at the latest version as well, the grid is gone. This however leads to severe instability.
Any other leads?
thx
P.S. I've also tried to compile libgl-git and mesa-git from AUR, but after that, I have no more 3D acceleration... I guess I'm too dumb to do that properly ![]()
