Amarok works, but there is no sound!

I switched over to Amarok 2.0.2 like many other people and it all seemed to go smoothly. Amarok opened up and rescanned all my music files, and while I cannot say I'm crazy about the new layout or color scheme, it seemed to be working. But when I try to play music with it nothing happens. It says its playing the song (I can see the same song I chose playing and progress being made) and that the volume is up yet I cannot hear a thing. VLC still plays everything and I hear output so it's not a system wide issue so much as it seems to be an issue with Amarok.

Console output says many things but they are all seem to be related to graphical output (of which I have no problem) except for

QString::arg: Argument missing: Amarok - No track playing., 0:00

when I play a song.

Advice would most definitely be welcome!

Re: Amarok works, but there is no sound!

In System Settings>Multimedia>Device Preference>Audio Output>Music (i believe this is shown by default)
Check which output device kde is using.  On my system, by changing the preferred device from pcsp to my sound card, amarok worked.

Additionally you can blacklist the pc speaker module.
