Using Dvorak but make Ctrl+* still follow Qwerty

Peace!

I'm just wondering if there's a way to switch to dvorak layout but at the same time, Ctrl+(and key) follows the Qwerty layout. In this way, all the shortcuts commonly based on location does not have to be manually changed in every application.

I'm not on my linux partition right now, But I have that setup currently. It's an option in xorg.conf (or atleast it was previously). There is an option to set keyboard layouts, and an option to set modifiers to change between them

edit: after some googling, I believe these are the commands you need (in the Keyboard section of xorg.conf):

Option "XkbLayout" "ro,ro"
Option "XkbVariant" "comma,"
Option "XkbOptions" "grp:shifts_toggle,grp_led:scroll"

Obviously, you'll need to change the variables on those to suit you

Hmmm... copied the above into my Xorg.conf in the keyboard section along with...

Option         "Xkblayout" "dvorak"

The dvorak keyboard layout was also chosen in rc.conf

Unfortunately, Ctrl+(Key) still follows dvorak output.

Any thing wrong??

ps. Im not on compiz fusion but I use kde4(had to enable the keyboard layout in systemsettings). Tried in virtual console... same result.
