Would pacman ignore custom fields in database files?

If I added a custom fields to a database file, would pacman completely ignore it or could it result in unexpected behavior?

Example: adding this

%FOO%
this
that
whatever

to the end of a desc file in the sync database.

Re: Would pacman ignore custom fields in database files?

From limited experience with pacman code, i think pacman will ignore it. But dont take my word for it.. have a look at libalpm/be_files.c  _alpm_db_read() . That is where it reads the db files..
