rsync "Time value truncated on receiver"

Hi!

I'm getting this error when backing up my stuff with rsync:

Time value of somefile.JPG truncated on receiver.

Google finds this only in the sources of rsync and there it looks as if it has something to do with the timestamps. A friend of mine says it could be related to the fact that I am rsyncing from ext4 on the sender (x86_64) to ext3 to the receiver (i686), and that ext4 has more precise timestamps.

Does anybody know this rsync-error or how to mount an ext4 partition with less precise timestamps?
