Recommended workaround for syncing podcasts with iPod?

Amarok 2 hit my computer with the last "pacman -Syu". Unfortunately it afaik isn't able to synchronize podcast files to an iPod device. Therefore I'm looking for an workaround until Amarok is able to do this again. I don't want to install a whole mediaplayer just for this task. So I'm looking for an simpler/smarter workaround for my problem. Preferably a QT-/KDE-Software or a command-line tool.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

it's not qt/kde but gtkpod is pretty good if all you want is something to sync your ipod
