I installed virtualbox from Arch's community repo and that has been working well. However, recently a new version came out and this was indicated by my virtualbox app. on startup. I went to the virtualbox site and installed that one instead of waiting for the community repo to be updated with the newer version (forgot that I used the community repo). When I try to update my system now using pacan I get the following error after updates are downloaded from repos:
checking package integrity...
(49/49) checking for file conflicts [##############################################################] 100%
error: could not prepare transaction
error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
virtualbox_bin: /etc/udev/rules.d/10-vboxdrv.rules exists in filesystem
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.
How do I correct this? Should I simply uninstall virtualbox and reinstall from repo? Any help is appreciated.

tsk tsk tsk
Shouldn't manually install programs like that.
You can try forcing the install "pacman -Sf pkgname"

use that installer from virtualbox website and uninstall it and then install virtualbox_bin with pacman.

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.
