some programs won't see my printer[SOLVED]
using gnome
some programs, like evince and firefox only show the print to file option in the print dialog
cups is started, and I can use the web interface.

after reboot, I can see the printers, but the print button is greyed out.
Fustrated Windows users have two options.
1. Resort to the throwing of computers out of windows.
2. Resort to the throwing of windows out of computers.

after reboot, I can see the printers, but the print button is greyed out.
Was this after what I suggested above?

No, I didn't see your post.
Anyway, I fixed it by looking at other threads, like the one you just mentioned, but I found it myself.
I replaced cupsd.conf with the pacnew one, and then with cupsd.default, and the latter worked.
