Arch OSX bar like wallpapers (good for oneliner conky's)

Well I thought I integrate my conky oneliner in Ratpoison with a nice striped wallpaper...so I thought I add the OSX bar to make it look a bit cooler.
Here they are

Forgive me, but what is the point of having so much info displayed on the desktop (especially if you only have one monitor) since it'll inevitably be covered by other windows 90% of the time?

It will not be covered if you use (like I do) a tiling window manager and provide a non-overlapping gap there.
Nothing covers that part of the screen. I consider 20 pixels of 'useless' space a fair price to pay for having a neat looking box

If you're referring to everything below/outside of the mac-ish bar with conky, those are all command-line programs being run in a tiling window manager setup, not conky. (Programs, not information displayed on desktop) so they won't be covered up.

That was my second guess.  A little minimalistic for my taste but nonetheless very clean indeed.  Thanks for the explanation.
