Problems with Arch LiveCD

I have downloaded Arch ISO 2009.02 and I've burned it to CD. When I boot that CD, I got grub console. What I need to type to get to Arch LiveCD menu?
Regards.

Are you following the Beginners Guide? That shows you how to enter the setup program along with everything else.

Re: Problems with Arch LiveCD

it sounds like grub breaks during boot, or am i missing something.
if so, this is a known problem with grub and we provide isolinux images to work around it

Re: Problems with Arch LiveCD

You might want to check the md5sum of your cd against the correct one first, then try the alternative image if correct. I don't see grub fail too often.. considering you know what it is and obviously haven't run into this before with other distros, I figure it shouldn't fall into the 'known problem with grub' category that necessitates the isolinux version.

I don't want to sound rude, but I'll ask again, have you followed and read the Beginner's guide?  The installer does NOT start automatically, there's a terminal command you must type at the console to start it.

The CD should boot you to a virtual console, where you have to do things from there....if you only have a GRUB console that is another matter, and odds are you have a bad CD burn or a bad ISO or both.  MD5 the ISO-to see if it is good...if it is then try reburning the CD.

Re: Problems with Arch LiveCD

I've burned CD with another burner, at 8x speed, and now everything is OK! Thanks!
