xorg problem

This is the first time I have posted to this forum so please be gentle

I think there is a problem with the latest xorg package file. I get a failure on the md5sum for xorg.sh file. The package is looking for:
'8990eac16981daf7037abcc0eef31db7'
but when I do a md5sum on the version from CVS, I get
'4e052c5e16a17a99b02c6b64d10b1636'.

Re: xorg problem

that's the reason for the md5sums - to make sure that you have the exact version the package is designed for.
if you want to use the CVS version, you'll have to rebuild the package yourself (check the abs tutorials in the wiki) and throw new md5sums in there.  otherwise, only use the files the package was designed for.  if you grabbed it with pacman, make sure to do a cache clean (pacman -Cc... i think) and then regrab it

Re: xorg problem

I was able to fix the problem myself, but I was mainly wanting other people to know.
The second part of the post that I didn't add was:
What is the correct "process" for me to follow to notify the owner about the problem? Is http://bugs.archlinux.org/ the way to go? I was hesitent because the problem is in the CVS and not in the binary package.

yeah, post a bug... that's your best bet... if the maintainer ahs his email in the PKGBUILD, you can email him/her as well
