I just got my latest x86 install done on the one PC that connects to my Canon IP3000 printer. I have cups running and working. However it looks like there is very little or no support for Canon printers, or at least my model.
I seen some packages in the repos but not sure if they are compatible with my IP3000. Can anyone plz tell me how to get a working driver configured for this 32-bit install?

Ok, I was able to get most printing functions working. So maybe this will be a mini how-to for those looking to setup their IP3000.
I have only printed color and B&W basic documents, and have not tired any photo quality prints.
First I installed and setup CUPS and was able to get to the web interface. http://127.0.0.1:631/
Then I downloaded these drivers in the AUR: libcnbj-2.5 2.5-1
I then used the drivers for the Canon BJC-7000 Foomatic/bjc800 under the drop down in CUPS.
I set this printer as my default printer and I am now able to print from my text editors, webpage, pdf viewer, cli, etc.
So for me this is good for now and I am happy to have this Canon printer working esp after hearing all the compatibility issues with the lack of Canon drivers for Linux.
