Amarok won't scrobble on Last.fm

Hi,

I searched the Arch forums and I couldn't find anything about this. The closest reference I could find was about 3 or 4 people on the Amarok group of last.fm complaining that it wasn't working for either of them. No solutions were available.

Basically on March 30th Amarok stopped scrobbling. The program still appears to be able to connect to the internet because it is still downloading lyrics for the songs I play. If I go to the Last.fm plugin and try to test the login it just sits there testing it for as long as I have the window open. No success or failure reported.

I can still scrobble using Songbird but I would rather use Amarok. I am using version 2.0.2. I had a problem with libgpod because of the most up to date version of libgpod. I rolled that back and that stopped the error messages but it did not bring back the ability to scrobble. Obviously I am running this on Arch 64 as well.

Any ideas?

Re: Amarok won't scrobble on Last.fm

I'm guessing that Last.fm did something to their system to screw it up. Amarok 2 went into the repositories and I installed it that way but there was no luck in getting it working. Fortunately there has been a 2.0.2 release put out recently and I installed this today. I can now test my login with success and I can scrobble on last.fm. No more songbird for me.

It's been fixed in the 2.0.2-3 package, to be exact.
