When adding an attachment file in the windows build, clicking on "Attach a file" link directly gives a popup to choose the file to upload and once chosen gmail displays upload proces bar.
In linux clicking on the same link simply shows a textbox to give location of the file together with the browse button and the attachment itself gets uploaded on sending message. The upload process isn't shown.
It seems some javascript or something is missing in the linux build so it uses gmail fallback.
Is it just me and something is missing on my configuration or?

That's interesting... Don't see why it wouldn't work regardless of platform. Perhaps it uses some Mac/Windows-specific feature?
