Love them. All of them are really nice smile (I especially like the second python one, minor difference, great impact)

Any chance of seeing a C icon?  I guess you could just do the character "C" or something.

It would be really cool if there was one for cell development. Maybe a PS3 as the symbol?

Re: Arch Linux Programming Language Logos

Wow Xyne, great work!

I think a logo for C would be cool, but theres really not much you can do other than carve out the letter 'C'. How about a Perl logo? Nothing goes together better than a camel and a penguin.

Re: Arch Linux Programming Language Logos

Added C and C++ logos but they feel bare/boring.

I want to do a Perl logo but I'm not sure what to use. I'll figure it out though.

Is there a programming language associated with cell development? I'd prefer to stick to one category (programming language logos) for now at least otherwise I'll just get inundated with requests for all kinds of random logos.

Unsatisfactory, I like Arch logo porn, and I wanna see them all in once page so I can choose one for my avatar.
Can we make a web page for that? maybe in gnome look or something? or other image hosting site?
Or have a dedicated thread for them?

Xyne could probably host it on his own site, but if he would rather not do it I would be happy to host them on either my personal site or the Arch User Magazine site.

Maybe I could take the Perl camel, break its legs and shove the letter C up its arse.

I actually kinda like them; There really is no other symbol for those languages, and that's just as distinguishing as not having a symbol.

If you wanted something with more symbolism, I don't know what you might do for C, but for C++, maybe just the "++"

I'm not really bothered by them, I'm just not proud of them. If someone comes up with good idea for an alternative (shape or color) then I'll probably implement it but otherwise I'll just leave them as they are.

I'll try other variations if you have any ideas. So far the bash logos don't feel completely right.

I know where your coming from, but I like it right now. Now, if you are not too busy, an pixel font one would be awesome, like Terminus or cure...
But do you mind if I use one of yours as my avatar?

Nope, I don't mind if you use it.

Re: Arch Linux Programming Language Logos

Here's the C logo with a pixelated font. I'm not sure that it's worth pursuing.
