[solved] man-pages

root /usr/bin # man
bash: man: command not found

I searched for man:

/var/cache/man
/opt/kde/share/man
/opt/kde/man
/opt/qt/man
/usr/man
/usr/share/doc/kde/html/en/kioslave/man
/usr/share/doc/tiff-3.8.2/html/man
/usr/share/man
/usr/share/man/man
/usr/local/man
/usr/local/share/man
root /usr/bin # $PATH
bash: /opt/kde/bin:/bin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/usr/sbin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/opt/bin:/opt/glest/bin:/usr/bin/perlbin/site:/usr/bin/perlbin/vendor:/usr/bin/perlbin/core:~/bin:~/bin:/opt/qt/bin:/opt/kde/bin:~/bin: No such file or directory

hmm

Re: [solved] man-pages

I know it sounds obvious, but make sure man-db and man-pages are installed?

Re: [solved] man-pages

There was a bug about a month ago where new installs didn't get man installed (as it wasn't in base). Install "man-db".
