Only get memory test in grub! (EEEpc Cloudbook, gOS)

Not sure if this is where this goes since its not about the installation of Arch really. But a netbook of a freind of  mines. It has the gOS on it and now he had to update to something else (im guessing due to the fact its based of ubuntu and they just released a new release) and now he only gets memory test in the grub menu. I could just reinstall a netbook remix of ubuntu for him, but he doesnt have a disk drive. I've posted in other forums, but i have major faith that i'll find my answers here ? wink (so don't show me wrong, lol)

^ Same day, about 7 hours and some later. Wait atleast a day man, and no bumping is allowed.

You've told us that your friend has a computer that only gets memcheck in grub. You've told us that you could install some ubuntu on it, but he hasn't got a disk drive. I guess you mean a cdrom or dvd drive.
You haven't really asked any questions. I guess that's why nobody's answering.

I think you can install most distros from a usb drive. I've been on Arch since '03 so I can't really help you with Ubuntu. Theare are Arch disk images you can write directly to a pendrive or whatever.

Re: Only get memory test in grub! (EEEpc Cloudbook, gOS)

I know haxxit im impatient. Sorry bout the bumping, but it was honestly longest i think its taken to get a response. Usually i get one in an hour or two max. Anywho..i could install off a thumb drive, but could be a pain, and were hoping to repair w/o a reinstall if possible. Right now though it doesn't look good, if any suggestions on how to fix the problem, it only showing the memtest in grub menu.
