3 days ago after doing pacman -Syu my wireless internet has become extremely slow. it's not just slow on my computer but it seems to be slowing things down for all the other computers on the network when Linux is up and running. I remember a similar problem occurring when my sister brought home an Imac and it ended up being ipv6 related. Blacklisting the ipv6 module as per the archwiki did not solve my problem. I'm looking through my pacman log and nothing is jumping out at me. I see a couple modules that I don't recognize but I have a poor memory so it's no guarantee that they weren't there before. The modules in question are mac80211 and cfg80211 and they are being used by my rt2500usb modules. I use wicd to take care of my wireless network and it was upgraded when this whole mess started but unfortunately, like an idiot, I completely cleaned my package cache for space a few days before so I'm not sure how to revert and I'm not sure it would help anyways. I'm not really sure what I should be looking at to help me trouble shoot so please, help me help you help me!
For the record I added "blacklist mac80211" and "blacklist cfg80211" to my modprobe.conf but they get loaded anyways.
Edit: I should clarify what I mean by "slow". I get 15+ ms ping times to my router and my internet speed from various internet speed testing sites has went from 12+ Mb/s down and 2+ Mb/s up to ~500 Kb/s down and ~200 Kb/s up.
