[Solved] Connecting To A Shared Network Printer

EDIT: I really should try a few things before I make a post, I found a pkgbuild in the AUR and it works perfectly.

I just connected my HP Photosmart C7100 series printer to my wireless router and the connection is fine between them but I dont know what settings to use when I try and add it via kcontrol > peripherals > printer since it asks for a port and I have no idea which one to use, I know the IP address is 192.168.1.102 and it has a web interface at port 80 but thats all Im able to find out. I'm also not sure of which driver to use since the closest one thats listed is the photosmart 7150 but it gives me an error that it cant create the driver because either it doesnt exist or I dont have permission to access it (even when Im root). I downloaded HPLIP from the HP website but Im still confused because it says "chose the distro that most resembles yours" and AFAIK theyre all completely different than Arch.

Re: [Solved] Connecting To A Shared Network Printer

The standard port is 9100, afaik.
Get hplip with pacman, it is in the repos.
The driver for you printer (hpijs) is included in hplips, you should be able to select it from the drop-down menu after you installed it.

You can also try the cups webinterface: http://localhost.localdomain:631
