Hello my problem is I have graphic card Radeon 9600 and after update catalyst package to version 9.4 it's no working. I search the internet and found out that my card is no longer support by ati
in AUR i found package catalyst-old (v 9.3) last catalyst driver that support my card.
Problem is that catalyst-old in dependencies have xorg-server < 1.6, and when i update my xorg update too. From where I can get last version of xorg-server 1.5. I couldn't fine xorg-group-old package ?
I don't have in cache old package of xorg.
Mayby someone have these packages in cache and can upload them on some filehost server and share ![]()

Have you tried the open-source driver?

Your card should have perfect 3D acceleration (And even better 2D) with xf86-video-ati

I now use xf86-video-ati but some games don't work on it. For example tibia. My brother play it a lot, actually it's his computer, and now i try to back to catalyst, that's why I need xorg-server 1.5 packages

I have them for x86_64, just give me some minutes.
Also, I'd like to know how to downgrade, since it seems to be more troublesome than just uninstalling/installing, if someone knows. ![]()

Hi! I would need the packages, too, so could you please upload them somewhere? What about the Arch Linux repository, don't they keep older packages in any archive?
I just installed Arch Linux on a "new" HP NC8430 with ATI Mobility X1600, so I need to use catalyst for the sake of heating. Didn't have these problems with my trusty NX7400...

Fine. I'll put them all in a single .tar, just a sec.

Thank you Isengrin! I managed to install catalyst-old (first installed xorg, then pacman -Rd'd packages that overlapped with yours plus libgl and installed your packages (except Radeon) before yaourt'ing catalyst-old).
However, Powerplay does not work, aticonfig --odgc or --odgt says "ERROR - Get clocks/temperature failed for the Default Adapter - ATI Mobility Radeon X1600", aticonfig --list-powerstates says "ERROR: POWERplay is not supported on your hardware." Could anybody share some light with this? Something has to be working since glxgears gives 1796 FPS...

Hi bl0ndynek! Could you please publish the i686 packages, so that I can see if the beforementioned errors are due to 64-bitness.
