deleted my gnome panel - where are they stored [SOLVED]

I accidently deleted my top gnome panel.  I have my entire /home/user1 backed-up (a few weeks ago) and I can restore *everything* but I'm hoping someone can point to me which dir the panel would be stored in so I can just restore it?  I'm thinking its burried somewhere in a ~/.directory
