What to set the MTRR clean up value and spare reg num?

1000+ views yet... no answers. sad

In the kernel config in "Processor type and features" near the bottom is what I am talking about. MTRR cleanup enable value is 0 and MTRR cleanup spare reg num is 1. What does this mean?

Re: What to set the MTRR clean up value and spare reg num?

The idea I got from this post http://kerneltrap.org/mailarchive/linux … 30/3454074 is that no one really know for sure what to do with it and are still trying to figure it out hmm
I guess that if things work for you don't touch it or if you have some free time do fiddle with it and check if it makes any difference.
