I've benn running pacman -Syu twice during this week and it seems that pacman wants to download and upload every time the same packages.  They are as follows:

         libmal-0.40-1 kdepim-3.3.1-2 libgcrypt-1.2.0-1 libgnomecups-0.1.13-1
         libgpg-error-1.0-1 libgsf-1.9.1-2 libxklavier-1.04-2 lilo-22.6.1-1
         metacity-2.8.6-1 module-init-tools-3.1-2 net-tools-1.60-9 samba-3.0.9-1
         sdl_gfx-2.0.9-1 smclone-0.93.2-2 taglib-1.3.1-1 wireless_tools-27-1

Total Package Size:   158.3 MB
As I mentioned before it's been done already twice but it wants to do that again. I've searched forums and tried pacman -Scc but it didn't help seems to be the same. Can someone help me please?   Even that I have adsl it takes some time but what its worse I don't understand what's going on.

Re: Pacman Problem

cd /var/lib/pacman/local

* check the folders in there to see if there are any duplicate ones for the packages that keep reinstalling
* remove the new version folder
* reinstall the package (the old version folder should be replaced by a new version folder)

HTH

EDIT:
I've reread your post and I'm no longer very sure the above method will work... but you can try it. Duplicates in that folder are a NONO.. that shows corrupt pacman DB.

Re: Pacman Problem

I've donne some changes to my /etc/pacman.conf file before and added unofficial mirrors. What happened was that during the Su, pacman had a problem with phrakture's mirror- it refused the connection(or whatever)  than upgrade didn't continue. So I've deleted that mirror and everything works fine. Arch is great  lol  lol

Anyway thank you for your quick response and help.
