Arch messed up

hi there!
after some updates with pacman my permissions are gone crazy.
examples:
if i want to listen to audio cds, i have to do a chmod 777 /dev/cdroms/* everytime. The nvidia driver wont work (it works before very well) even not after reinstallation.
And also my "root" isn´t able to burn a vcd...
and a lot of other things, like write permission to my windows partitions are somewhere in vallhalla.
how to fix this? ;-)
greetings matto
