I feel like I'm missing something obvious here, but when I hit shift + space my text acts oddly. Its as if it's going into Japanese typing mode, in that it underlines everything I type, but it doesn't actually DO anything. I thought it might have been scim, so I uninstalled that with no change. I've checked my keyboard shortcuts to no avail.
Its not causing a big problem, however it mucks up my spaces (particularly after I's). Any suggestions are welcome.
EDIT: Wow I feel dense, problem solved.
EDIT2: Poster below makes a good point. I also had uim installed, which was using shift + space to activate. Changed the setting and don't have the problem anymore. Like I said, I feel dense.

You might wanna post what you did to fix it in case someone else experiences the same thing and discovers your post in the future.
