xorg no keyboard and no mouse [SOLVED]

well,
I just made clean install and installed xorg and kde,
after running X computer just freezes cause I cant move mouse or use keyboard,
only thing to do is to shut pc down from a button.

I have also installed xf86-input-mouse
xf86-input-keyboard drivers but still nth..

I am on notebook Dell m1710

any help is welcome..

have you installed hal and are you sure it is running?

try to restart kde without the xorg.conf file by changing its name.

HAL is running and I dont have xorg.conf file at all..

thx SpeedVin, automated xorg.conf created

but now I am trying to change some settings I read before
Section "ServerFlags"
Option "AutoAddDevices" "False"
EndSection

in xorg.conf

btw I just installed nvidia drivers, but thest seems to be an mistake cause, now I have a black screen aswell

Try to add to the "ServerFlags" "AllowMouseOpenFail" "true"
I haved the same
What command you install Xorg?

I installed Xorg via
#pacman -S xorg

and I have also that line
#Section "ServerFlags"
#Option "AllowMouseOpenFail" "true"
#Option "AutoAddDevices" "false"

I hav done anything by textbook since

Do you try xorg.conf with another drivers , maybe Vesa?

it were on vesa when xorg.conf was automade, and now I installed vesa drivers, seems that they already were installed, so I reinstalled them just few minutes ago- still black screen,
seems Nvidia drivers made some major conf changes, but to get keyboard and mouse working is primar cause I can do clean install again and then install Nvidia drivers from kde.

I am going to sleep mode, so thx and gute nacht to every one.

pretty wierd,
seems that X dont read xorg.conf at all, no matter what I write there
maybe new xorg has some other conf files , dno havent installed xorg manually before.

so I am trying to reinstall xorg.
btw I downloaded archlinux-2009.02-core-x86_64.iso, maybe someone has also problems with that specific one..

still my ears are open like Obama´s mouth, so every suggestion is welcome.

I remember that nvidia drivers remove a different package. you should see in --> nano /var/log/pacman-log <-- what pack nvidia removed. Thats prob. the reason you got a black screen now

just before nvidia drivers installed is line that,
"removed libgl 7.4.1.1"

well that was totally my mistake that I didnt have xorg.conf, somehow I missed that part, altought I thought I made everything by manual,
i am making it right now by the official manual.

Xorg -config can also auto create an xorg.conf for you, have you referred to teh beginner's guide on the wiki ?

I created my conf file via "nvidia-xconfig" that was an mistake, thx stefanwilkens, now my keyboard is working fine.. I cant say same about mouse cause I am seeing Nvidia logo and then blackscreen, so I am trying to get my old drivers working.

btw it is funny that HAL failures on loading at booting, so I have to load it manually, altought I add hal module to be loaded on booting, it clearly says: loading HAL - failed.

topic closed- using nvidia-xconfig is causing that issue, use Xorg -config
