error when i try to start lapsus daemon

Hi !

i'm using asus laptop z7100 and i have done the following from wiki ,

In your rc.conf, blacklist the 'acpi_asus' module and add the 'asus_laptop' one in the MODULES array.

Install the latest lapsus package from aur. Now start the lapsusd daemon: /etc/rc.d/lapsusd start. You can add it into DAEMONS array in /etc/rc.conf.

the lapsus daemon is after hal like this DAEMONS=(syslog-ng network netfs crond portmap fam hal lapsusd cpufreq alsa !avahi-daemon)

However when i try to start it manually i get the message Can't create lock file /var/lock/lapsusd, code 2 (No such file or directory)
Error runing lapsusd daemon!

Does anyone know what might be the issue ?

Also how can i add the lapsus applet to kde kicker ? I'm using kdemod3 .

THanks for your help!!

Re: error when i try to start lapsus daemon

Are you running the start command as root?
