Mmm, these PekWM ones are nice, might give it a go, any advantages over openbox?

It's really personal preferences. Give it a try, you might like it, and if not you can always remove it.

What I like about Pekwm over Open Box is that is uses pixelmaps so the themes look good (IMO), and I love window grouping. It is lighter and faster than Flux Box, doesn't come with it's own panel making it more similar to Open Box, and the file editing is easy to do.

Re: May 2009 Screenshots

fb2-thumb.png

trying to live in framebuffer console. dvtm as a "window" manager, but there's an interesting feature shown: there is another, inner 'dvtm' running in the main "window". in this way I simulate ion3 tabs, which I kinda miss in dwm'ish wms. this ability to run several levels of dvtms blows my mind for a week already.

cheers

Re: May 2009 Screenshots

Uploaded my configs here.

Part of the floating window placement code (XMonad.Hooks.Place) is already in xmonad-darcs, I've just sent the rest of it (XMonad.Actions.Place, XMonad.Layout.PlacedFloat) to the ML today so it should hopefully be added within a few days. The patch is also in the config archive I linked to above.

@Wra!th: named layouts are frigging long and my statusbar is cramped :s.

@dunz0r: qclock from AUR.

you can share the config of the bmpanel??

Not at my home pc at the moment, so I'm not 100% sure about this, but as far as I know there wasn't any configuration to it. I installed bmpanel, downloaded the arch theme from the homepage, unzipped the files into the right directory and added "bmpanel arch &" to the autostart file of openbox.

Cool. I haven't had a chance to try OpenBSD 4.5 yet, as I still have Arch on the computer. Maybe this weekend.

Re: May 2009 Screenshots

@volh: Awesome! I've tried out dvtm in the past and really liked it. I currently use Stumpwm but normally only have GNU Emacs running, so I guess I could just use the virtual terminal and maybe screen or something.

Oh but the change is HUGE! http://www.openbsd.org/plus45.html
I must admit a *nix that detects and makes usable EVERY little piece of hardware in my computer with minimum or no configuration is something I tend to like. Too bad no flash...but I'll find a way to work around that.

Re: May 2009 Screenshots

@bosha

The gtk is royalty. You can get it at gnome-look.

@na12

The wallpaper is also available at gnome-look. you should check out the author's other submissions as well. They are pretty slick.

http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/ … tent=55608

@Stalafin

I posted the Xdefaults colors that you see on this screenshot in April Screenshots thread.  you can find the colors there. If it is difficult, let me know. The rest of the configs are over at my dotfiles page. Let me post the link again. the shell is not bash, its zsh. You can probably delete the references to FreeBSD ports site on my .zshrc. Since I use FreeBSD pretty often, I didn't bother to optimíze it for Linux. But mostly it should work fine.

http://dotfiles.org/~section9/

the ncmpcpp config is pretty default here. but i use filam's config for ncmpcpp. you can find it in the ncmpcpp config thread right here on the first page of Artwork and Screenshots section.

Its just vim, I don't use gvim. I have never had problems with Fortran though. May be you can also look up fortran plugin for vim as well. Let me know if you need more help on that.

It's one that I made using murrine-svn. I plan on releasing a few of these soon.

Here is my gallery of murrine-svn themes and emerald themes that I have made: http://crimesaucer.deviantart.com/gallery/

Oh man, these are awesome. High quality stuff. Please let me know when some of these are available for release. I especially like the spring theme.
