VLC does not recognize codecs after upgrade

Hi there!

After the latest pacman -Syu, gstreamer0.10-good-plugins, gstreamer0.10-bad-plugins and x264 were upgraded, leaving VLC totally unusable for video reading.

In fact, VLC claimed that he did not support the codecs XVID, DVI3, and so on so forth while it did support them before the upgrade.

The only solution I found was to downgrade the three packages above. I tried to rebuild the package with the other packages installed, but it did not work.

Any other idea?

Re: VLC does not recognize codecs after upgrade

If you want x264 from testing, you'll need to use vlc from testing also.

I do not use the testing anymore. These are from the extra repository.
