Ok, so i decided to try fluxbox, so i installed it with pacman -S fluxbox. But when i go into gdm, only enlightenment and xfce4 show up as options. so then i  tried modifing .xinitrc nad that didn't work either, but then fter a few rebboots it did...later on i tried xdm an that send me to wmaker which is commented out...any suggestions?

also, if i'm not clear enough i'll explain it better in the morning, sorry sad

Re: Strange GDM and general X problems

XDM uses .xsession, you can symlink it to .xinitrc to get the same behavior whether you use startx or xdm.

$ ln -s .xinitrc ~/.xsession

All of your mips are belong to us!!
