network dont work (intel chipset, old cpmpaq)

hi! i have old compaq evo, maybe d500 model
i have in him integrated LAN - probably intel nic, innetscs si-50083
when i power up computer - the link led is lighting, and data led is flashing.
ive tried to enter ip adress, but it also didnt work
when i try to ping router adress - i see message that says that network is unreachible
please help, and ssory for my bad english

Is eth0 visible? Does 'ipconfig eth0' show you something? Then the driver for your NIC is correctly loaded (we should expect that) and you now are left to configure the interface with network parameters.

If it's not visible, try to load eepro driver:

modprobe eepro

and repeat first step.

Please give us other info if you want to solve this.
