Dell Latitude D610 Compiz

Hi fellas, I have just gotten this notebook from a friend who needs it no more and I am trying to get Compiz to work. It should have enough power to run compiz. It has Ati Mobility X300 and Pentium M 1,86 GHz. I have managed to get xf86-video-ati to work and it works just fine, even video is smooth and window move is really nice too, although when I try to run

compiz --replace

it gives me this:

compiz (core) - Fatal: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is missing
compiz (core) - Error: Failed to manage screen: 0
compiz (core) - Fatal: No manageable screens found on display :0.0

Any ideas? I would be really thankful for any reasonable help.

I have a 610 also, have you tried w/o an xorg.conf. I am not using one and everything is fine. I dont run compiz so I cannot help there.

Well it doesn't really solve my problem.... Just to be sure: you are suggesting not to use X server at all? I kinda need it, compiz is just one of things I like to have turned on while I am working on an AC power. I would definetely turn it off on battery, battery time is vital for everyone, I suppose...
