[SOLVED] A good Playstation emu for arch64?

Im looking for a good PlayStation emulator where i wont have to stuff my computer full of 32bit libs. Ive heard the original psx looks really bad graphics wise and I tried pcsx-df but it did not work I kept getting segmentation faults and a Google search showed that their pretty uncommon in my case and there as trouble compiling. Any suggestions?

EDIT: Here is the wiki added in Problems and Workarounds http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Eps … ator#About

Even if it implies installing some 32bit libs, I would go for latest ePSXe through Wine. This setting gives the best results for PSX emulation IMO.

pSX is the emulation wise the best ps1 emu there is imo. However, it aims to stay true to the ps1 in graphics with software rendering. Unless you get compability problems with both ePSXe 1.5.2 and 1.6.0, you should run the native linux version of ePSXe. ePSXe through wine doesn't give you the "perfect" flow in the graphics (if you know what I mean. I noticed it in some of the more graphic intensive games). None of the leading ps1 emus are built for 64-bit though ;\, so you have to stick with some lib32s. I usually go with pSX, but a fully pimped ePSXe with Pete's OpenGL2 /w good shaders and resi. That's sexy.

Re: [SOLVED] A good Playstation emu for arch64?

Well i made a 32bit chroot and I installed epsxe but none of the plugings are being recognized. I noticed the .epsxe dir symlinked to /opt/epsxe instead of /opt/arch32/opt/epsxe so i basically copied the epsxe dir to /opt/epsxe. I installed the plugins in /opt/epsxe to but they are not recognized. Any ideas?

I'm a serious fan of pSX and I am trying to get 1.13 running on my arch64 install... but I am literally stumped as to what I am missing... I got the tarball from the site, ripped a functional bios (have used it on a few 32bit linux installs just fine) and when I try to execute the "executable", I get an error [Failed to execute child process(no such file or directory)] and I am clearly looking at the file when I attempt to envoke it... when trying the double-click method from the folder... when attempting to run from console, I get basically the same error [bash: ./pSX: No such file or directory] again, when I am clearly looking at the file after I type 'ls' while the prompt is in the folder...  Definitely lost here...

@generic_:  there are packages in the AUR which do all that for you.  No need to have a chroot or move any directories.  By moving those directories, you're defeating some of the purpose of having that chroot.
