Hi,
I'm having trouble getting a game to launch with wine. In windowed mode (800x600) it's fine, but it reports that it can't find an 800x600x24 mode if windowed mode is off.
I've been looking into to issue, and I notice that xrandr reports my current resolution as the min and max, so presumably something is telling it that 800x600 isn't available.
I've never had the option of changing resolution in the gnome display configuration (only 1280x800 is displayed), but since I haven't had any reason to reduce it before, it's never been an issue.
I'd appreciate if anyone could help me resolve this. (My video card is an Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT, with 1280x800 max resolution).
Thanks.

When did the nvidia driver get support for xrandr 1.2?
Use the Source, Luke!

Ah... I see. Well, ignoring xrandr (I was only looking at that output from reading some related forum posts, and thought the lack of resolution options there might be the issue).
I'm guessing the fact that the game can't find the resolution it wants and that the display options GUI doesn't report any other available resolutions may be related, and I'm not sure how I can resolve this. Any ideas?
Thanks.

I have 2 questions:
1) is it just this game that's having problems?
2) What is the name of the game?
