im looking for a racing game for my desktop , that is similar to the burnout games for the ps2 .

any such games exist?

I don't know burnout, but miniracer, supertuxkart, torcs, generally, quake3-rally, slune, tileracer, trigger, trophy, and vdrift are all available racing games...
