yet another MPlayer issue

Hello

After a fresh reinstall of arch linux, I get this message when playing video files with MPlayer:

MPlayer interrupted by signal 11 in module: init_audio_codec
- MPlayer crashed by bad usage of CPU/FPU/RAM.
Recompile MPlayer with --enable-debug and make a 'gdb' backtrace and
  disassembly. Details in DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports_what.html#bugreports_crash.
- MPlayer crashed. This shouldn't happen.
It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your
gcc version. If you think it's MPlayer's fault, please read
DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html and follow the instructions there. We can't and
won't help unless you provide this information when reporting a possible bug.

My soundcard driver is snd-hda-intel.

Re: yet another MPlayer issue

Post the section right before this when it's searching for an audio codec. I will take a wild guess in that the audio stream is AC3.

Re: yet another MPlayer issue

I have exactly the same problem and it is the sound indeed. Every movie with dts sound (i.e. libdca is used) has this problem. This crash only occurs when compiling mplayer with gcc 4.4.0. Compiling mplayer with gcc 4.3.3. plays the movie files without any crashes.

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.
