writing 820k (and other non standard) floppy images

Hello,

I recently got my hands on an Atari ST Computer, which i've been playing around with for the past week or so. The one problem that i cant seem to solve is that a lot of the images of games and demoscene stuff are >720kb (the ST doesnt support 1,44mb disks). Apparently these are created by writing to tracks beyond 80. This seems to be impossible on my linux system. I've seen a few programs out for windows that people have suggested can do this, but none of them work with USB floppy drives (which is all i've got for my windows VM).

Is there any way to force linux (DD or some other program) to write a non-standard floppy image to a disk?

so you want to write an image greater than 720KiB? I know what you're talking about, but couldn't find any links, did you try dd normally?

Yeah i tried DD many times. It works fine for 720k and smaller images. above that it will just say there isnt any more space.
