Hi, I've installed arch on my eeepc a few days ago. Everything is fine, it feels faster than ever before (used kubuntu and opensuse for a while). The only issue I have so far is the wireless connectivity. I've tried the default kernel, blind's eeepc kernel and the zen-eee kernel but none seem to work. I also tested each with networkmanager, wicd and manually using iwconfig... nothing. Some help troubleshooting this would be welcome

My experience is that the rt2860 driver works best with encrypted networks. I have had no problems with wep or wpa. But unencrypted networks are more toublesome. wicd never works on those, I think. You should try to do it manually:
ifconfig ra0 up
iwconfig ra0 ap xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx channel xx
dhcpcd ra0
This usually works for me, but not always...

Anyone having an issue with this driver, please check out the script and wp_supplicant.conf file I posted in the wiki:
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Asu … __Wireless
and report back whether you still experience your problems.
Thanks.
PS: The first config is supposed to make you autoconnect to the first detected open network.
