Problems burning CDs on Dell Studio XPS 16

Hi,

I have a Dell Studio XPS 16 with Arch 64bit and a DVD/Blueray compo player which I can't successfully burn ISO files on. When I try to burn via wodim I get the following result:
Track 01: Total bytes read/written: 1529856/1529856 (747 sectors).
Errno: 5 (Input/output error), flush cache scsi sendcmd: no error
[...]
Trouble flushing the cache
wodim: Cannot fixate disk.

Has anyone encountered anything like this? I would be glad if anyone can give a helping hand here :-)

Some pastes from ouputs which might be usefull:
Full paste of the output from wodim:

Re: Problems burning CDs on Dell Studio XPS 16

maybe this is of help?

[SOLVED]Why can't I burn cd/dvd discs?

p.s., wodim/cdrkit is known to be a bit less stable than cdrtools where it was forked from. if the above topic doesn't help you further, you can try installing cdrtools instead (it's in the AUR).
