Fluxbox as gnome window manger

hello chaps,

OK i know its possable to set openbox as gnomes window manager, but, can i set fluxbox as the window manager?

Iv read a lot of sites on how to do this and cant seem to get it working.

the reason for wanting Fluxbox over Openbox is for its transparency, iv tryed editing the gconf window manager setting from metacity to fluxbox but this just makes xsession chuck errors saying gnome-session cant find what it wants. Iv also tryed making a new xsession and this fails to even log me in.

so at the moment im loggin in with metacity, killing metacity and running fluxbox to get it running.

can anyone give me some advice on how to do this automaticlly?

cheers

Lightweight software dose not mean less! It just means you have to get your finger out and make it do and look like you want!

Re: Fluxbox as gnome window manger

Just edit your .xinitrc in your home folder to Fluxbox starts after gnome smile
